Perth Launch


On Friday, 18 January Night Parrot Press launched ‘Once: a selection of short short stories’ at Wolf Lane in Perth. It was a packed house of authors, family, friends and industry professionals, all gathered to celebrate the release of NPP’s first book. After short speeches by co-publishers Linda and Laura, the audience enjoyed flash readings by three of the book’s authors: Carolyn Abbs, Sabian Wilde, and Amy Budrikis.

Albany Launch


Nearly a third of the authors in ‘Once: a selection of short short stories’ hail from the Great Southern regional towns of Albany and Denmark. To celebrate this great contribution, Night Parrot Press held a second launch of the book at Six Degrees in Albany on Thursday, 30 January. Three Albany writers shared their work on the night: Yann Toussaint, Rachel Isaacson, and Izzy Mead (story read by Laura Keenan).
